Hi all,

My passport will be expired around Oct'2017 and my visitor Canada visa will be also expired the same time. I would like to renew my passport and also want to renew my visitor Canada visa so that I have my visitor Canada visa expiration the same with my passport expiration, is it possible? As I know I can use my new passport together with old visitor Canada visa and renew it later.

Tks & best regards, Thang

You can use your TRV as long as it is valid regardless of the passport it is attached to.

TRVs cannot be renewed. You have to apply for a new one from scratch. When you apply for the new TRV CIC may or may not give you a TRV for the life of your travel document (passport).

You cannot have two valid TRVs at the same time. You cannot request a TRV to be cancelled.
