Dear all,

I need your kind advice.

I lived in the UK on a student visa from 2004 to 2008 but almost 10 years ago (In November 2008), when I arrived in UK after a holiday, I was refused re-entry into the UK at Heathrow Airport and removed on the next available flight. The officials also marked a cross on my passport.

This was on the grounds that during questioning while on detention at Airport, I confessed that I was not genuinely studying in the College which I had letters in hand.

Anyway, a year after return to my home country I cancelled the passport (which had UK visa's & removal cross) and obtained a new one. From then till todate I used a new PP and have travelled to about 5 countries without any issue.

Two years ago, I also lost my old passport and have it recorded on the new one.

Back in my home country, I have completed a Bachelors Degree and have been continuously employed in a professional job over the last 10 years.

Now at 35, married & two kids, I would like to go to Canada to study for a Masters Degeee. This time i want to genuinely study and try for PR afterwards.

What are my chances of getting a student visa to Canada given my bad track record in UK.

I have never committed any crime in any country though.

How should I approach my visa application?

Would there be a question on removal from Uk? and if I am honest about it, will I be granted visa?

Also what is the cheapest & best university and state to get admission to a Graduate certificate program thT maks me eligible for PR?

I have a BBA Hons degree from a reputed UK University.

Please advise about my best chances migrating to Canada?

Appreciate your kind support

Hi..

Right now your chances of getting a study visa to Canada lies on a string of a 50/50 chancechance of either an approval or refusal but either way, try to be as remorseful and honest as possible to talk about it in your SOP(which is your sword to slay the VO's attention) and make sure you don't leave any meager info that might come to hunt you later

notwithstanding, your chances of getting a study permit is feasible but would be a stone to roll over, and still not a guarantee but there's nothing to lose when a try is givengiven

you can try researching Manitoba provinces, they are among some other provinces that have a good PR and also cheap DLI, also try Saskatoon

Good luck

Hi..

Thank you very much for the advices.

Got my UK degree offered through a strategic partner (franchisee) of London Metropolitan University in my home country.

Things dont add up u have a degree from UK but u were not studying and were removed. How did u get the degree? any removal is very difficult to justify. study visa is a temporary visa and expectation is that u will leave canada after studies but with ur past difficult to prove u will leave.
