I would like to know if my spouse and I have to be together in every picture or can one of us be in a picture with each others family members?

No you don't have to be. Showing your spouse with your family members is great. We included some of my boyfriend playing with my nephews.

We did the same. My nephew absolutely adores my husband and we included about eight photos of my husband playing with my nephew at various ages. We also included a few photos of my husband and my mother that were taken on a trip the three of us took overseas.

Oh that changes everything! Great thank you for your answer :)

Should the pictures be in photo paper?
Or is regular paper ok, should they be a certain size as well?
I was planning on printing 9 pictures per page, is this ok?

You don't have to use photo paper. We used regular paper.

As for the size, make sure they're large enough so that faces can be clearly seen and you have room to add notes to indicate who is in each picture, when it was taken, where it was taken, etc.

I used Picasa I believe it is to import all my photos. Then, I printed them, walletsize with like 10 photos or so per page with small captions.
I sent anything that indicated we'd done or gone anywhere. pictures of me in canada, pictures of him, pictures of us together, pictures of him with my family or friends, pictures of him with his family, pictures of me with his family, places we'd gone to visit, all kinds of stuff. it was even remotely related to the 2 of us, it went along, along with screenshots of our pages of emails (I used a inbox type view that just listed them all), screenshots of logged chats (index from google talk), photocopies of plane tickets, movie tickets, whatever I could get my hands on. Figured I wanted to avoid that interview at all costs :P

When i sent in my application i sent a 169 photos lool, They were a mix of me with my wifes family vice versa, Also of family members at a gathering with neither me or spouse in the photo, but then i included some of me and the wife at the same function etc just to show to them that were with our families at the same event etc.

With sending photo evidence write information on the back of them like who those people are, dates, events if christmas etc. Remember one thing the IO looking at your case does not know anything about you or your family and just has the photos you send them, documented information to go by. It is up to you to explain to them.

We sent so many pics, more than 100 that actually we got a note from the people at the local office and the last group of pics asking us to just select 8 to 10 pics where we were together just me and him.

In my case, we sent pictures that really showed the passage of time. We divided them by season/special holidays: so spring, summer, fall, and winter. We even included four different Halloween costumes! I also change my hairstyle fairly often, so you can definitely see the time progression in the pictures. I think we sent about 20 pictures in total.

Good luck!

I actually have about 200 photos and I am trying to narrow it down but they are all such wonderful moments that I do not know which ones to cut out from the list hahaha. :)
My wife and I are having trouble choosing and it is almost about time to send the application package. We have more then one picture that we will send from our wedding ceremony but other than that for normal events we will send 2 or 3 of each maximum.
All I know is that I want this all to be done with so all I have to do is wait lol. ;D

Sent pics of your weeding where you and your wife are together smiling and if is posible where you were not posing for the camera, someboy took the pic without you guys notice. Also send pics the two of you in different family functions and/or with friends.

The more pics the better. Good luck!!!

Ok I will do that! Thank you for the great advice!

There are limits.
If you send too many, the VO may think you are trying to bury them in pictures :)

we sent 60 photos in total including 20 photos of the ceremony. photos show many events & especially trips around the world together during 5 years and in some pictures we are with our family members.
