Rejected Application and Unreturned Cheque

My application for Canadian immigration was rejected as I did not satisfy the NOC requirements. Rejection letter was dated 18th July, 2009.

An year has almost passed and I have still not got refund of my money. Can anyone kindly advise whom should I write to for refund of money. I have been advised from NS office that possibly cheque is lost and they sent me a form to confirm that I am not in posession of the cheque. I send the letter about 6 months ago, but still have not heard anything back.

Any advise on whom shall I approach for my money refund will be much appreciated.

Hello Sunny,

Which stage were you when your application was turned down? Was this during your AOR verification or while sending your application to CIO?

If CIC had advised that they sent you a cheque and possibly lost that means you are eligible for getting refund.

Now if you have sent the form ( Which CIC sent you ) to confirm it has been lost in transit, please send a photocopy of it again and write a letter that even after 6 months of sending this form, you haven't received your cheque.

If NS office is responsible to send your refund, its contact detail will be available on cic website. send them a letter.

Also you can email mentioning your File Number on it and ask about what has happened to your cheque.

And do not worry, you will get it if you are eligible as I said in my first line. And keep copy of your communication.

Many thanks for your response. Application was rejected on initial assessment by Nova Scotia Office.

Any idea what is the email address where the correspondence should be sent.

These are the addresses. Probably you should use the address from which NS sent you a form to fill up.
