I am currently halfway through my PR process (IP2) waiting for golden email or rejection. At the same time, I am working launching my own business (sale of digital products). This will be independent of my immigration so consider them to be two independent things
In case my immigration doesn't work out as planned, I am still going to register my business, in Canada or elsewhere so registering in Canada is not done to "improve" my immigration process.
My questions are:
1- About business registration: I don't mind taxes, even if they're more than 50% I don't care. What I'm looking for is the best state where there are clear legislations about online businesses. I'm also looking for a clear and straightforward registration process, where I can have a lawyer and an accountant who understand online businesses
2- If my immigration does come through and I have already registered my business in Canada and started making money, how does that affect my tax paying and/or my situation as an immigrant. I can keep the money "online" for now as I definitely won't be making a lot as a start until I move.
3- If I don't get PPR by January 2018 I will be registering my business. This may be in Canada or in another country like Cyprus or Malta where being a resident isn't a requirement. If I don't register in Canada and THEN move there, how will that affect me tax wise, the fact that I have a business registered abroad? Is transferring your registration to Canada easy or a possibility? Is it recommended in the first place? Can I live in Canada while having a registered business abroad?
