Just booked for the CELPIP test on Feb 9. Let see how it goes and I will let you guys know my experience.

If somebody else also is registered or want to register and would like to discuss on this PM me..

I have also booked in Toronto but it's in march. So you are going to provide me accurate details about CELPIP :)

My mail id akash_in_canada@yahoo.ca for further discussion.

Hi shibinp,
Could you please ask CELPIP team for scores ? ( Though online - chat ) and provide them your registration number.
Ask them that how much correct answer we need in individual criteria(Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening) to achieve CLB 7 or 4L/4H band?
L ? out of 45 =
R ? out of 35 =
S ? out of 15 =
W = No Need

I did not received registration # yet hence could you plz ask them.

Thanks
Akash.

Hi Akash,

you supposed to get registration number immediately into your email id..
anyway, when I get a time I will check with them and let you know..

I got issue on registration that's why I am insisting you to ask them about if how they will awarded correct marks to CLB 7 or 4L.
for each 4 modules.

I took the test last week January 28th and I got the result last night 6working days after my exam I got level 5 scores. In my opinion it is easier to take celpip than ielts and toefl. You can finish the test in one sitting and they are using Canadian accents which is easier for us to comprehend. For the speaking part Celpip has more items to be answered than toefl if my recollection is correct I think 16items for speaking part which you need to finish in 30 minutes in my calculation thinking time will be a little more than a minute and 40sec response is needed.

Good Luck!

Cool, thanks for the info.

Re: CELPIP score calculation

Earlier CEC_2013 (Akash) asked me about the CELPIP score calculation (conversion of raw score to celpip levels) for listening and reading skills. See below:

1. Listening scores:
Out of 45 questions minimum 36 questions should be answered correctly to get a CELPIP level of 4L

2. Reading scores:
Out of 35 questions minimum 26 questions should be answered correctly to get a CELPIP level of 4L

Thanks & Appreciate that you have provided useful tips to understand speaking and writing modules. Did you received your scores.?
