When filling in the region specific forms, other than the
receipt from the medicals, the only form we need to include
in the application is YOUR TRAVELS section. Is that right?

:) Thanks in advance !

What region are you from?

Only persons submitting their application to the Canadian visa office in Paris must complete the attached IMM 5562 form, Supplementary Information – Your travels.

So if Paris will be processing your application then yes you fill it out, if not then no :)

kelkel what about if the applicant is from east africa?

Jma I'm not sure what forms are in the region guide for West Africa. I just know in the Western Europe guide there is the travel form only for people whose embassy would be Paris.

There is a "Your Travels" form in the Region Specific Guide for Africa. See all of the guides here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp#region

Follow the guide for the country where the visa post is located that will be processing the application for permanent residence.

People applying from Africa only have to complete the "Your Travels" form if they are applying through the Canadian visa office in Rabat.

Ah! I didn't read the fine details, just saw the form in the Guide. Thanks.

I agree.

For the region specific form IMM3901 (03-2010) document that I have.
Under number 13, it clearly says:

Persons submitting their application to the Canadian visa office in Paris must complete the
attached IMM 5562E form, Supplementary Information – Your travels.

So unless it has changed only use it when you are using PARIS

I have heard of several cases of documents that aren't required being requested later though and then there's the delay of an additional doc request. I've heard of this for the 'your travels' supplement and the common law declaration.

We completed them and submitted just in case... better to send more information than less and waste time on a request.
