Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Need some advise.

I been here in Canada for 2 yrs and my TRV is already expired since April 2012. I want to apply for an extension but found out that letter of employment is needed. Can I still apply if I will only send pay stubs as proof of employment or the letter of employment is really required because it's included on the Document Checklist?

Better have a letterhead from your employer. Officers have a hard time to verify things from your pay stub.

If it's on the checklist, you have to provide it.

hello, can i squeeze in my question here? im on the same situation my visa is expired but i have a valid work permit, im no longer working with my previous employer who im tied with the work permit but im waiting for a new permit for the new employer. I want to visit my country while waiting for my new permit but the problem is I wont be able to enter canada coz my expired visa. Is there any way that I can apply for extension of visa? all i have were pay stubs from my former employer

Try to wait for your new WP and new visa before you leave, unless its emergency. Visa applcation for those with valid permits can be submitted to Ottawa or visa office for your country. Visa helps you to come back.
