HI..
I am from India. I want to apply for student visa to do a course of CPA from Ontario. The name of the institute is Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Will I be eligible to apply for student Visa. There is no requirement of IELTS by the institute as I am already a member of International recognized body by Canadian Institute of chartered accountant. Will it be compulsory by Canadian embassy to produce score sheet of IELTS??

Also can my spouse join me on the basis of open work permit to support me??

Also what will be the financial fund requirements?? for individual as well as for both of us??

You won't be eligible for visa because CICA is not a school.

YES it is not a school but it is an institute. and on the website of CIC it is mentioned that student visa will also be given for the course of any institute.

Not for "any" institute, but only for Designated Institutes. CICA is not a designated one. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-institutions-list.asp

then on what type of visa basis I can come to canada to complete CPA along with my spouse??

If you want to apply for a study permit and try to bring your wife as well on an open work permit, you need to find a course that is full time and at least 8 months long. The school you attend must also be recognized by CIC as a designated learning institution (DLI).

Guys (Seniors, if possible) please advise:

If I choose to pursue MBA (CPA stream) or simply master in accountancy, will it raise the concern/issue of dual-intent for visa purpose. Because pursuing MBA towards canadian CPA designation can possibly raise the doubts to settle down in canada. Moreover, canadian CPA (unlike US CPA) does not have value in our home country (India) job market.

Eagerly waiting for your suggestions....

I'm on a Work Permit and I'm about to apply for PR. I want to take up CPA. Will it require a Study Permit?
