Hi,

So what happened is I studied at Dalhousie University and last semester I took 2 Courses from Dalhousie and 2 courses from Algonquin college as free electives, I was a part-time student at both institutions but overall I took a full course load (i.e 3 or more courses per term)

would it affect my PGWP, I called the Dalhousie registrar's office to confirm and they told me it would be a problem but I still wanted to confirm, I have tried reaching out to IRCC on twitter but have not received any response yet.

Do you guys know anything about this kind of situation?

Yes it is an issue. You must be full-time at the DLI on your study permit. So you are not eligible for a PGWP.

do you have anything from the IRCC website that mentions this?
Yes. Google PGWP eligibility and it will state you must maintain full-time studies except for last semester. You cannot attend courses at another DLI unless you have a study permit for that school or unless Dal has a reciprocal agreement with Algonquin to transfer the electives to DAL, and count towards DAL degree.

Hi, so I had taken letter of Permission to take courses at Algonquin before I took the course, have you been through this situation?

No. So Dal gave you permission because your study permit says that you can only study at Dal? As long as Dal includes on its transcript the courses you took at Algonquin then you may be okay. If 2 separate transcripts then it is an issue. Why? You studied part-time at Dal and studied without a study permit at Algonquin.

No, the courses I took from algonquin and its grade are posted on to my Dalhousie transcripts because it were approved

So you may be okay but you will not know until you apply for PGWP. You are not allowed to study at another DLI so if refused it is because you studied at Alongquin without a study permit. If Dal says it is an issue then it is an issue. Why they allowed you to study at Algonquin is beyond me.
