Hi,
My name is nevin. In my passport my wife's name is mentioned as tintu nevin in the spouse column. Whereas her id documents including passport her name is tintu mary pt.

Is that an issue while going to canada or further things in canada.

What sort of visa will you be using to enter Canada? Do you have a marriage certificate?
Note that in regards to "further things" in Canada I would just like to say that having a spouse name or parents name is not done on a Canadian passport.

Am planning to migrate with my wife and daughter to get PR... yes of course i do have marriage cert...my concern is that while entering port of entry or somewhere after that would that name problem is an issue

If there are to be any problems, you will find out during the PR application process. Which you're likely starting, and not planning on doing as a tourist in Canada?

It's not an issue.

Hence my final question is that should i need to get a reissue for a passport for change in personal.particulars for wife's names or its just ok with the current passport.

You don't need the passport to be reissued.

Thanks for the response.. but i gave it for reissue as I guess may be later for a spouse visa it may be difficult to enter country like usa or uk.. am i right..

No, since the name of your spouse has absolutely nothing to do with your identity.

My passport has my ex girlfriends information in it as my emergency contact. I'm not going to get it reissued for that.

No. Most countries don't even list spouse names in passports. Your own names in your own passports is what matters.

Ok. Thats logic.. but while wherever a cross verification is needed the name difference in our passports may affect even tho we have a marriage cert.

Your passport proves your identity, not anyone else's.

The marriage certificate proves you were married.

Again, it is not an issue. You are worrying for nothing.
