Regarding spousal work permit inside Canada

Hi Everyone,I am on skill level B Work permit in Canada.My wife is here on visitor visa ,She is 8 months pregnant and her visa is valid for a month.I asked my Immigration consultant and he said we can apply for open work permit online but we have to wait for the result and my wife can’t go at the flagpole because Visa officer can refuse her work permit because she is pregnant.

Your consultant is correct. You can apply, but the idea of going to flagpole is a bad one, especially if she's 8 months pregnant! Also, since you're obviously planning to have the baby here - you know that you will have to pay for the delivery, right? She won't qualify for healthcare.

This is very confusing based on your previous posts you and your wife entered as tourists and then looked for a job. You were in the process of getting a work permit but needed to be approved for restoration and that was only last week.
