Regarding place of birth

I am here to ask you about my canada spousal sponsorship application.i resubmitted my application to cic on 29oct 2018.Actually i reviewed and found that my "place of birth" on application form match with my Birth certificate but different on passport (city same, town different).It am so tensed now. Can you please let me know, will the CIC raise issue on it and make delays on my PR .My application is already very late. Or if you have any advice please share. Any answers will be appreciated.

place of birth on application form match with Birth certificate but different on passport (city same, town different).....if the city of the place of birth in form, birth cert and passport are same and town is different....you don't have to be tensed......you may update the form with whatever place of birth is correct and send the updated form through IRCC webform to your visa office and include a letter of explanation........not sure what your mean by city same and town different.....however, if you need to correct any information on your passport, you may renew the passport.

Don't stress over this stuff......you just need to explain to IRCC and you should be okay.......Good Luck.

Renewing passport will have new details( about number, date of issue) and process will be long and we dont know will the visa office accept new passport details at this stage as file is already is in process.

if your passport is renewed before visa is issued...just send a copy of the passport data page to your visa office, they will update your info with no issues

You can update them with the new passport info without any issues. Many people forget they need their passport to be valid for at least 6 months at the time of landing so they renew passports in the middle of the process. No need to worry about that.
