A Post-Graduation work permit cannot be valid for longer than the student’s study program, and the study program must be a minimum of eight months in length.

From what you can see above, it is said to be minimum of eight months. And most of the programs are called 1 year, so am sure you guys will get a 1 year PGWP. because most schools don't offer eight month course.

Just to confirm what you have been talking about in the past few posts.

I came here on a 1 yr post grad certificate program, which was actually 8 month program. 3months were co-op. I got a complete 12 month work permit. So that's confirmed now, 2 semester program will get 1 yr visa.

I started the question only cuz my lawyer mentioned that it could have been 'extended' to one more year, which im still not sure about.

Can any body help ?? I am applying for may 2013 intake...it is a 2 year or 16 months continuous diploma course..As it is a 16 months continuous but 4 semester course..will i get work permit of 3 years or 16 months only..
