Hi All

I have received an invite through express entry for Canada. I am currently working in Gurgaon while my permanent address is from Punjab. I don't have any local address proof from Gurgaon. Should I get my PCC from my permanent address through passport office? Will that work? Or I need to apply from Gurgaon only. Please suggest way outs. Highly appreciate.

You can apply in PSK at your hometown with your permanent address(I assume that you passport address is same as your permanent address). It is matter of a day or two. When you apply, it asks only your passport as document since there is no change in address.

Yes my permanent address is the same as on passport. My only concern is will CIC accept the same as my address history will show an address from Gurgaon since last 5 years. PCC needs to be taken from nearest passport office of latest place of stay or any passport office across India?

Actually PCC must be taken from the nearest PSK to our current address. At the sametime, it doesn't matter where you apply and get it. You can get it from Punjab also. Because that is your permanent address. Actually PCC must be provided by police department. But Passport authority issues the PCC in India. Even you approach your nearest PSk, they will suggest you to get it from your hometown
