Hi Guys,

In IELTS site its mentioned that only one copy of the IELTS score will be provided to me.
And in CIC its mentioned we need to submit the original IELTS copy with the main application.

In case the cap is reached till i submit my main application do i need to give IELTS again next year as i m not sure that copy will be returned back to me by CIC.

Also on CIC website its mentioned that they don't consider copies sent directly by British Council to their office.

And moreover if i need to apply to some other country and they also need the original IELTS score copy to be attached do we keep on giving this stupid IELTS again and again or is there a workaround to get out of this vicious cycle.

Is there any way i can get more than one IELTS copy?

Any inputs will be appreciated.

Applicants are permitted to submit a copy of their language test results with a new application only if the original test results were submitted with a previous Federal Skilled Worker application on or after June 26, 2010 and were not returned to the applicant. All copies of language test results must be accompanied by the photocopy of the refusal letter from CIC and an explanation that CIC retained and currently holds the original.

If you have already submitted original copy with previous FSW application, then a photocopy would be acceptable.

Besides, it is my understanding that if CAP is reached, you will get your documents back (someone please confirm it?). It is only if a decision is made (approval/refusal) they would retain the documents.

Someone else mentioned in other thread that it is somehow possible to request another copy from British Council.

But, always keep enough copies of these kind of documents & do not forget to keep a scanned one too. You never know when you might need it.

Thanks a lot buddy for the explanation.

I require another copy clarification bcoz i am pretty sure till the time i get my IELTS score and send my application the quota will be full.
This is basically for next year :-\

I guess CIC will send all the docs back with refusal letter if cap for this year gets full...

Bcoz if a person sends DD along with his application that DD needs to be cancelled ( after thinking this i guess its safer to pay by Credit card :)

You are permitted to submit a copy of your language test results with a new application only if your original test results were submitted with a previous Federal Skilled Worker Program application that we did not return to you. If you provide a copy of your language test results, you must include a photocopy of the refusal letter you received from us and an explanation that CIC currently has your original language test results.

Documentation submitted with your application will not be returned. You should obtain multiple originals of any documentation submitted with your application (such as reference letters, police certificates) so you are prepared if you need to submit a new application.

You must keep a copy of the completed forms and all documents before sending them to the CIO.

I got refused once, and they sent me a new one not the DD I sent them.

If you don't mind me asking, what reason did they gave for the refusal & when did it happen?

OK. ;D So, have you re-applied already? I see passport request under your profile. So, have you got the visa?

Thanks a lot for the valuable info.

Some more questions.
If i take multiple copies of the reference letter/PCC/proof of funds docs then wont cic reject them again as the date will be like 6 months older...considering i apply again in jan :'(

if this happens the most disappointed person will be my previous company manager >:(

btw do i really require to submit reference letters from all my previous companies.. i am working for the last 6 years in the same company. Wont letter from that company itself must suffice as i fulfull the >1 year criteria.

PCC's has only a 3 month period, older one's are not accepted.

even, POF should be of the recent one's.

IELTS should be not more than 2 years old.

If you're claiming points for that work experience, then its fine to provide the roles letter, reference letter of that company.

Can you tell me the time it takes to issue PCC from Passport Seva Kendra (assuming you are also in india). Do we get it on the same day??

totally agree

i hope i dont have to give this paper again

thats the best news i heard. So i dont need to annoy my previous company for this again. Moreover i worked there for 1.5 yrs only. I have experiece letter etc everything from them but not any letter mentioning the roles n responsibilities.
should i mention that exp in my application or not

Thanks Mr. Hope.
PS: I am a great fan of shawshank redemption myself ;D

if your present address is same as the one existing in your PP, then you'll get it within a day from your PSK.

you should mention all the previous work experiences you have, there will be a column for that on the forms.
its better to send in the original roles & responsibilities of your present company, take 2 copies keep one for yourself.
