Regarding EE expiry date approaching

I have I question, is that cic taking more than 6 months after the elections?
Waiting for so long, expiry date is approaching, and no update. I am tensed. If it takes more than 6 months then how long it takes. Is it still on BG check? Or because of heavy rush with files.

IT is perfectly normal to wait longer than 6 months. CIC are backlogged.
Just wait. No one can give u a definitive deadline, not even CIC. Could be within 2 months or could be a whole year.

My Bc pnp is approved, I am having one year of work experience in Canada, one year more left for the expiry of LMIA based work permit, 15 days left for of BC Pnp Express entry profile for the result, as you mentioned earlier that it can take more than six months, so can I apply for open work permit or is it necessary to stick to the same employer till PR comes. Please reply
