welcome to the forum,

you cannot apply for a citizenship, first you will have to apply for permanent residence, after spending sometime in canada, which is now around 3 years you will be eligible for citizenship. a permanent resident and citizenship have equal rights and equal status except a PR cannot vote, serve in a militiary and a few more. but that will not affect you. if you want to study how to start for a PR under the federal skilled worker program. refer to the below links

dertermine whether you are eligible or not
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/eligibility.asp

how to apply

review selection factors or you can call it points calculation. you need 67 points to qualify
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

if you need more assistance study www.cic.gc.ca you will find everything there.

good luck.
