Regarding Application of PGWP and Renewal of SOWP

Hi.
I am student and about to finish my MBA degree. After graduation I am eligible for 3 years of PGWP. I will finish my MBA with in 16 month but I have study permit for 2 years.

I will receive graduation completion documents by 2nd June, 2020
My study permit expire on 30th April, 2021
My husband's Open work permit expire on 30th April, 2021

I don't have NOC level job yet so after I get my PGWP, when I can apply for my spouse's work permit renewal. Is there any rule that once I will change my status my spouse needs to apply for renewal because in his work permit there is remarks that "OPEN WP TO VALIDITY OF SPOUSE'S SP"

He can work as long as his current permit is valid.

Thank u for your response, but I am worried about the remarks on my spouse's work permit which says "OPEN WP TO VALIDITY OF SPOUSE'S SP"
and my study permit is no longer valid after my graduation

Your partner can work until the end of their SOWP. They got lucky since you excellerated your studies so they have ended up with almost an extra year left on their SOWP.

thank u for your reply because I was confused, my agent told me that once I will finish my MBA, my study permit will be no longer eligible and I need to apply PGWP, so technically my spouse's WP is also no longer valid according to remarks mention in WP.
