Hi all,
My question is that if we fail to live in canada for a period of 730 days in five years, is our PR status cancelled and we are sent back to our home country, or we are again re issued a Pr card and given another chance to complete the 730 days ???

It depends on if immigration finds out. Immigration is not all knowing. If you did not spend 730 days in Canada but you happen to be in Canada, they might not know about it. At this point, your PR card expires. The correct thing to do would be to stay in Canada and not apply to renew your PR card until you meet the 730 days requirement. There is no law in Canada stating that you must have a valid PR card at all times. You only need it to travel.

If you do try to renew your PR card without meeting the 730 day requirement, you are bringing yourself to their attention and they can cancel your PR and have you deported.
