My husband applied PR visa application and submitted all the documents for both of us. But I was refused a visit visa by an embassy (Germany) in 2007 and forgot to include this in the background declaration. Can CIC detect this during security check and if so can it lead to negative consequences regarding this application?

My husband and I are still waiting for the medical checks. The refusal stamp is on my old passport which I lost couple years ago.

Should we send an explanation letter to the visa office when we get the medical check? Or it is better not to mention it?

This really bothers me everyday, and I hope someone can give me some professional advices.

Thanks a lot

You should have mentioned it.
Nonetheless,you will likely be called
for an interview if your PR is to be granted
to explain the circumstance in 2007.
Just relax and don't stress yourself.
Leave all to God please.
Best of luck
