Hello all,
When I was 17 years old I was deported from the USA due to a self removal. During those 17 years I never understood why we were always going to court and never understood what the judge was saying. I got my greencard when I was 2-3 years old. The reason for self removal, which I recently found out, was because my mother married a US citizen for a green card. I believe the reason I was able to get my green card at a young age was because my mother petitioned me. God bless her soul. The reason I believed it was okay to re enter America was because the US government renewed my green card even though I had a pending case. I received the green card and thought everything was okay.. or so I thought. Upon arriving at LAX I was escorted to immigration jail and detained for 48 hours, they did give me cup noodles so... lol. Anywho, I talked to the officer told him my story, and he said that he would be deporting me back to my country for 5 years. I am 23 now, during the five years I tried going to college in my own country but ended up dropping out. When the pandemic hit, it really made me realize a bunch of things relating to my future and where I want to be. I apologize if this is a bit TMI, but this whole situation really traumatized me in so many ways, but we continue to persevere. I am in the process of talking to an agent to try and finish my studies in Canada. Is this going to be even possible? What evil will I come into? How can I be most prepared so that everything goes smoothly? Thank you reader for your time and help, have a great rest of your day and keep finding ways to bring out the light you always carried.
