I was applied study permit and visitor visa of six months for my short term English language course in BC but my visa had been refused below following reason...
1) I am not satisfied with under Paragraph 179(b) IRPR with your personal assets and financial status...

But I had shown the funds 12300CAD... And this is prepaid language course. I have to pay the The tuition fees by weekly In my LOA itself it mentioned that fees prepaid so, I don't know the correct reason for refusal...

It's generally very difficult to get a study permit / visitor visa approved for an English language course. This is seen as a very weak reason for coming to Canada and IRCC. Why do you need to come all the way to Canada to take an English course? Why can't you take a course in your home country?

Each application is assessed individually. Just because your friend was approved doesn't mean you will be.

It really doesn't make sense to come all the way to Canada just to take an English languge course. If you want to be approved, change your plans and come to Canada to take a diploma or degree.

Thanks for your quick response.

After finishing my language course I am going to continue my studies as master degree.. for that only I am taking English class and the hidden reasons to take language course is I was taken two times IELTS but I got only 5.5 band score of both so I plan to improve my English language skills by course. That's why I tried all this process....

At the recommended $1000/wk, you are way short of the amount you would need for 6 months in Canada.

Oh my God! Which means 1000 CAD per week.. Sir, actually how much funds (CAD) that I need to show to get 5 months visa..because my course duration is about 5 months only.

12k is basic living expenses required by an individual annually. Plus your course fee..

When I come for my degree in 2010, I proof at bout 20k... I guess now they will ask for more.

Did you also apply for the masters class? Did your friend apply for an English class followed by a degree? You don’t have a lot of savings if you can’t work and just pay for flights. If you only have12.3K+ English tuition. It is best for you to do an English course at home and save your money for Your masters.
