hello I just move from Montreal to Calgary ..can someone please explain to me how everything works over here ?also how I can get my driving license,house,and a good job

You’ll probably find Calgary and Alberta are far less prepared to handle refugee claimants than Montreal or Toronto. There may be a possibility of some housing, but in all likelihood, unless you have your own money, a shelter is a likely solution. As for jobs, a work permit and websites like Indeed are a start. Temp agencies can also be a good starting point.

You need to have at least 1 year driving experience on a class 5 drivers license (or Canadian equivalent) before they will allow you test for a class 1 license. If you don’t have a license now, and you have to go through the whole process (learners, graduated license, class 1), it will be about 2 years along with specialized training.

Since that accident that happened last year in Saskatchewan, Alberta implemented effective 2019-03-01, new rules regarding, truck drivers
