hey guys

I am a conviction refugee
Waiting for my hearing
I got married to canadian citizen

So i have just one
Question.
Will i get my passport back when i apply for my marriage sponsorship ???

Thank you in advance

Since you are waiting for your hearing, here's what will happen

1. Your claim will be accepted. In this case, you will get PR status soon. You don't get your passport back
2. Your claim will be rejected. You will get your passport back and your deportation order will come into effect. You will have 15 days to leave the country. You will get your passport back and will have to leave. Once you're out of the country, your wife can apply for spousal sponsorship.

Your previous posts indicated your hearing was in March did you not attend. Hopefully you did for various reasons. Getting married right before your hearing definitely shows warning signs. Relationships don’t always survive but if obtain your own PR status you will always be safe. If you didn’t show up at the last minute another person could have had your hearing and the 10K+ dollars processing your case are wasted.
