I have the following issue:
I have started the process of applying for asylum from within Canada. As you might know the process is to send an email to "IRCC.RefugeeClaim-Demandedasile.IRCC@cic.gc.ca." with basic info following the instructions found on this page and they sent me the document chick list through ePost and I was given 30 days to submit all the required forms through ePost.
Unfortunately, I was not able to submit the document before the 30 days. My two questions now are:
- What should I do, can I ask for extension or should I start the process over? If I can request an extension, what phone no should I call?
- If I decide to abandon my request at this stage, am I considered have already applied for asylum or no?
