Good day all

My friend family ( A wife, a husband and two kids under 6) are having the Syrian Nationality
When the Syrian revolution has started, they moved to KSA to live and work there
they have been in KSA for round 5 years but unfortunately are residency in KSA is going to be canceled in June and cant go back to Syria at all
But fortunately they have a valid US visit visa which will be expired in Dec 2015
My questions are:
1. Can they ask for Asylum in Canada at the Canadian American borders through RPU Organization but they dont have any close relatives in Canada, all they know there are friends only
2. will they reject they claim if they know that they are coming from KSA and was working and living there?
3. which borders are better to apply my claim as I have no relatives there?
4. Are they going to be helped by the Canadian government?
5. if they accept our claim what will they get then? eg."permanent or temporary residence, Passports, travel documents, work permit, education etc..."

Thanks a lot

They will not be able to apply for asylum in Canada via the US unless they have a close blood relative in Canada. Moreover, based on the description, they sound like refugees of convenience. They should go through the regular immigration process like the rest of the world rather than trying ti jump the line and take the sport of someone who is an actual refugee with their life in danger.

"they sound like refugees of convenience." Incorrect judgement made by torontosm.
1) As mentioned by sarah1998 they wont be able to live or go back to KSA which makes Them eligible to apply for asylum and to be recognized AS a genuine refugees. I think their history of living in KSA Will make their case Even stronger for the reason that they choose to flee their country (an alternated flight option) when in danger and now as they cannot legally live in KSA anymore they had to apply for an asylum to safe their lives.

2) if they manage to Get a trv (canadian visit visa) then they can apply for protection once they are in Canada and wont require any relationship Tobe eligible to apply for a protection.

3)to apply at US/Canada boarder they need a first blood relative to be present in Canada (Uncle, aunt, nephew, brother, sisters etc).
