reference letters from previous employers !! plz help

hii guys,

i recently finished my one yr work experience in one of the NOC occupations. i am planning to apply soon for PR. i have a couple of questions bothering me for a while regarding the job letters from previous employers for the past 3 years.

1) i am on my PGWP, during the last one year of experience, i worked at a gas station part time for 2 months. today i went to ask for a reference letter and they handed me only a copy of record of employment. will the record of employment be sufficient, since this is not the job i will be applying under for PR anyways.

2) when i was a student, i worked at 2 different places part time, do i also need to provide reference letters from those employers, or only the ones, that i worked in my PGWP.

please drop in ur views and suggestions.

What NOC code are you applying under?

Roe is not enough unfortunately / you need to have the reference outlining the duties performed

i will be applying on the the job code 7231 as a machinist, for which i will be getting a job letter with all duties and pay as required for the application.. i am concerned about the job, which i worked part time in a gas station, and under which i will not apply PR, is ROE sufficient for that part time job.. thanks for ur response..

You should have a solid reference letter for your NoC. Because CIC will judge your application based on that.

if your gas station job is not counted towards your 1 year experience, you dont need job letter from them.

that's not true, u need all jobs for the past 3 yrs regardless. if ur unable to get a ref. letter for each job, u have to provide a written explanation to cic. u will list skilled job occupation in one of the form and their NOCs

Yes we have to list all the jobs in Schedule 8 form, but job letter is not necessary for the jobs that wont be counted towards your 1 year experience. I might be totally wrong but i don't think it asks for reference letter in application guide.

I am not sure of the new rule though, but old rule mentioned to include all job letters for the past 3 yrs regardless seniors correct me if I am wrong :-X

It is wrong..application check list says ..need up to date reference letters that you work past 3 years in Canada..

I am now collecting reference letters as i worked in 7-8 places..
