reference letter

hi seniors,
i m the principal applicant

its difficult to take my spouse's referenece letter right now
other of his official docs i have
what should i do?
only will right his JOB rduties & responsibilities...
should i mention why he unable to take his resposibilities letter?
plz help

Reference letters for spouse is not required. Spouse get points for education only. No need to send any explanation also.
