Reference letter of work experience ??

Hey,

I have 4 years work experience as a kitchen helper or cook helper, i left this job a year ago, to prove that work experience i can only get a reference letter. but i don't know .. is it enough to put the badge of the hotel i worked for or what ? .. is that enough ??
what should be the reference letter ?

I also don't want the embassy to call my employer because i don't want to let them know that i am applying for immigration to Canada... so please advise me

to make sure... Kitchen helper or cook helper is listed in the 38 occupation ?

No, it is not listed in the "list" kitchen helper is not exactly a skilled occupation.

well i am considered as apprentice/assistant cook and i've found that listed in.
so can you please answer my question about proof of work experience, how should i get reference letter ? what does validated mean ? badge of hotel or what ?

Assistant/Apprentice cooks are not listed either, you have to be cook or a chef to qualify. I suggest you go back and read the instructions. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp

"Reference letter" its a letter that your employer should give to you, it should contain, your period of job with that employer, your main deties, your salary or any other benifits. Letter should to on official pad of company/employer where you worked included official stamp and signature + one business card of person who is signing.

Reference letter just as a mdel could be like this ,


Date: __________


To whom it may concern,

I confirm that XXyour nameXX was employed as XXyour job titleXX with this organization from "Dates with period of your employment". His annual salary was "-" included "XXXXXXXX" allowance.

Their job of "-----" carries the following responsibilities:


You all deties will go here .............................

I’m sure he would be tremendous asset for any his future employers. If you have any further questions with regard to his background or qualifications, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Name,signature,stamp,telephone.

Maybe an example, but you said you were a kitchen helper cook helper, which has now meta morphed into assistant cook. Good luck proving your experience.

Actually you wasnt clear since your first post, first you said kitchen helper then changed in next post etc. PMM was right, He is the most Knowlege holder at this forum, as Kitchen helper is not a skill occupation neigther in 38 list. Ok, now i assume if you are going to obtain job reference and verifiable letter, for what ever you are going to apply?

About Business card, its one requirement that CIC need it, if you are unable to privide, just write a cover letter with reason, why you are unable to provide business letter for employer. ...

Note..... you dont need to prvide business card from Employer directly, You need to provide Business card of Person who is signing your Job reference Letter and would be available for varification too, So if some one can Sign your letter, then probably he can provide his business card too, yes?
