Hi,

The situation is like this I worked for 2 employers, for 1 I worked less than 1 year and for the other I worked for 3 years.

I have asked both for a reference letter and :

- the 1st one wont issue as I did not complete 1 year and also my then line manager has left the company.
- the second one will issue in not less than 2 weeks, and despite mentioning what I need in the letter, said they will add the good and the bad about the employee, however I do have an experience letter from this company and also the job profile that was provided to me back then.

Is an experience letter same as a reference letter from CIC point of view ?

And I am short of time, any suggestion what should I do.

Thanks..

If you employer refuses to get you a reference letter meeting IRCC's requirements then get a ref. letter from a colleague in plain paper and notarize it.

No, i'm suggesting this approach as it will lead to rejection.

Geez...

Thanks...

I go with your suggestion and also as a backup ask for a letter from company stating that they cannot issue for the reasons mentioned above, if they do this, don't know yet as I didnt ask...just wondering..
