Hello everyone,

I applied for PR under the CEC class in August of 2011 and my application got rejected. I am planning to apply under common law. My partner (Canadian citizen) and I have been living together since 2008.

My question is whether I should undergo a medical examination again. Can I go to the same doctor and ask for my record? Does anyone know about this? I know I have to get my criminal record from my country though.

Thank you for reading this.

Your last medical is valid until Aug 2012, soyYou may apply now without undergoing medicals and then redo it after it expires.

Thank you so much for answering my question. Just to be clear, so are you saying I don’t have to submit it again (as the government has it on file), or I need to ask for my record from the same doctor and submit it again?

Thank you!

Re: Redo the medical examination?- Resolved!

Ok. Called the doctor’s office as I wasn’t given the second copy as proof. They said I need to bring one passport size photo as well as Appendix form C. They will be able to give me the second copy then. I also called the CIC to confirm. Yes, it is valid for one year. They said just submit the second copy as well as an explanation letter. Thank you so much!
