I have sponsored my wife to come to Canada. She was studying to do her CA (Chartered Accountancy) in India. But was not able to clear one group from the last level. Thus she is not an Indian CA. However, due to the PR landing constraint time-line, she is unable to give another attempt in India.
Could someone suggests potential options we could look into? Currently we are considering CPA. But because they only consider her B.Comm it is only a 3 year degree, perhaps they will tell us to do the PREP course. Do you guys have any ideas as to what other programs we should consider? Are there suggestions for relatively shorter ones? My wife would like a break from studying and thus we are hoping for shorter ones. But, I really want to make sure she has a good career and just doesn't do a time-pass program. Thus if there is another recommendation you'll have which might be more benefitial, I also open to it.
Would appreciate any and all replies. She currently has extensive experience with audit and taxation in India.
