I'm wondering if anyone has just been to an appeal hearing? Has your file been sent back abroad for reprocessing, or are the files being processed in Ottawa?

Has anyone recently had a successful appeal hearing? How long passed before you were let known of the decision?

I have a hearing in a few days. I'm getting really antsy and I'm getting curious as to how the duration of my relationship with immigration will go.

I'm not sure how this Ottawa thing after appeal is affecting processing timelines, but hopefully it's working out better than sending the ap back to the original embassy. Our appeal was allowed in January 2010, before the Ottawa change. Our file went back to Buffalo in April 2010, approval came through the end of November. Passports were requested in December of that year, and we landed on January 31, 2011. It was a long a$$ haul - but the worst of it was the appeal process. Losing at the ADR after waiting almost a year for the date, then having to wait another 13 months for a full hearing, at which they said Minister's counsel should have consented at the ADR!! I wanted to throttle someone, but at least we represented ourselves and didn't waste any more money (for full hearing) on the lawyer who sat and said nothing at the ADR hearing!
