i would like to update you all that last night i received an email from scotia that i dont fall under the approved nocs so on the basis of that they are rejecting my application and will send refund within 8 TO 12 weeks :(.

now i have few questions for guys, as i changed my job after filled my application so now my work is bit relevant to NOC 0111, and on the basis of that i am replying. secondly i want to know one more thing that my wife had 4.5 years of experience as IT manager but she left her job last year and currently working as a freelancer, would it be possible to make her the principal applicant and apply on her behalf. because IT managers is under 38 NOCs.

Hello,

As you said in your query, you have skills and education to apply under NOC 0111, which is a financial manager http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=0111. Your wife is an IT manager, which, as it seems to me, is NOC 0213 http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=0213 and has 4.5 years of experience in this field, which she obtained within the last ten years prior to applying for permanent resident status. If she meets all other requirements under the skilled workers category (SWC) she can easily apply as a principal applicant. Therefore, you may be both eligible under the SWC http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list. My question is, taking into consideration your previous refusal from NS, have you done your research and/or obtained legal/immigration advice prior to filing your applications with government authorities?

Thanks Dear for your reply

I am hiring a consultant this time for filling my case to NOVA, hopefully things go well this time. & ofcourse with all support from all dears like you of this forum. i will file my application ASAP.

in my first application i did make some stupid mistakes :(

but this time i will make sure i do things in a proper way.

if you are applying on the basis of your new job then the duration of this job should be at least one year to be qualified

Please verify if your consultant is a member of CSIC http://www.csic-scci.ca/find/ or belongs to a provincial law society. Otherwise, you do (NOT!) need to retain his services. Myself is a member of CSIC and that's why I suggest that you take your next step more seriously. Good Luck!

ONE MORE THING guys how much time do NOVA take to refund the fees. and how much are they going to refund like i paid $1250. (for 3 members)

and in which form will they refund the fees, Canadian dollar draft ?

mohamamd

Dear Zak
I submitted my application in March 2008
Transferred to NOVA SCOTIA in March 2009
I applied under simplified process so just 3 pager form.

I applied from CIC, ISLAMABAD

Last Status - APPLICATION RECEIVED

I hope i answered all your queries.

Hi Mis,

Sorry to hear about your case, hope this time things go fine for you.

You will receive refund of full amount in 8-12 weeks and in CAD Dollars.

Thanks

thanks buddy, this time i need full support and help from you people, cant afford to make another mistake.

Uner what NOC did you originally apply?

CIC is very mindful of some trying to 'squeeze' themselves so they can fall under the 38 category.

i have recieved my documents back from nova scotia and mentioned that i should mention more duties on the basis of admin dental health care services which is the sub noc of managers in health care. i cant understand that, if some know please help me out \

thanks

to anyone who just filed their initial application to CIO...note that they are rejecting the whole application if you accidentally put Sydney Nova Scotia in the VISA OFFICE REQUESTED for the process of your application...(IMM 0008)

my friend just received her rejection letter after 60 days saying that

"You did nto indicate the visa office requested for the process of your application. Please note Sydney CIO is not a valid selection"

I am just blessed that my application proceeded when i submitted it last May though it contains "Sydney Nova Scotia" in the visa office requested tab..

i told my friend to resubmit everything again to CIO and just change that tab to "Manila, Philippines"

Thanks...

Dear All

I am again in a process of sending my documents / application to NOVA SCOTIA but this time i am going to be very careful.

Initial two questions

First one is that, current i am working as a MANAGER OPERATIONAL RISK, in a risk management department of a bank. I hold this position from the last 1.5 years, and i have 6 years of experience in total, in which 4.5 years as a banker NOC 0122 and 1.5 years in risk management, now the question is that there is no such title as mine in 0111, they do have MANAGER CREDIT RISK MANAGEMENT but dont have MANAGER OPERATIONAL RISK. so is it going to be ok if i apply under 0111.

secondly my wife holds 4.5 years of experience as Assistant director data center NOC 0213 her title and responsibilities 100% matches as mentioned by CIC. but currently she is not employed and working as a freelancer.

so now suggest me which option should i pick

My approx points are around 80 and her approx point are around 75%.
