Received PPR, but there are no other changes in application status

After almost 6 months (Applied via SDS on April 1, 2024), I finally received my Original Passport request letter last week. However, my application status remains "in progress" and I have not received other messages/updates both in the GCKEY and Tracker. Is this normal?

Having experienced the agony of prolonged processing and the uncertainties that IRCC is known for, I can't fully celebrate until I see a valid stamp on my passport. I submitted my passport a week ago but still no updates since. Can anyone share your experience with approvals? Thank you.

Does your final decision days your file is approved? I got ppr request too and my tracker also says In progress , I have few post with similar situation I believe it's all good you will get passport stamped soon

Congrats man. I have been seeing your post in this forum for a long time.

There are no updates on my final decision, medical, and other status. I just received the PPR letter, nothing else. How was your experience? Did you receive your stamped visa already? How long did it take?

Thanks , I received ppr on 23rd and my final decision shows as approved , medical and biometrics was updated way back, still not submitted passport yet.

I guess i was right about worrying. I got my passport today without stamp. IRCC sent a letter saying that the PPR was sent to me in error.

That's so frustrating. Did your gckey showed final decision? What does it show under application status and final decision?

It is very frustrating and I feel duped. No changes in GCKEY, no final decision. Just the original passport request.

Be positive.May you get your new PPR soon. One person got his new PPR , I believe after 2 months after getting first in error. You can check user94531 I think . Sending positive vibes.
