Hi

I am right now in Canada and has applied for my husband's sponsorship. I have a little confusion, can anyone help please?
My husband received a letter from CHC requesting to send his original pp on Apr 2nd. He sent the pp via speedpost on Apr 6th. We recieved the delivery confirmation on their online tracking system on Apr 8th. However he again received the 2nd letter from CHC yesterday on Apr 27th. The date on the letter is again Apr 8th.
Now I am confused, if they have received his pp or not. I have a little hope because, date when pp was delivered to their mailbox number and date when they issued the second letter are same.

Can someone please advise how should I verify if they have received his pp or not?

Ask your Husband to give a call in CHC, give them Tracking Ref. and date you send PP
 
This is really bizarre...You can also send an email or fax to ND office.

BTW, can you please share your time line with us?

I think it's very likely however that the 2nd PP request letter was sent to you in error since you said that you got confirmation from Speedpost that the PP was in fact delivered.
 
We have already emailed them, but am sure I wont receive any reply!
Calling them is of no use, their lines are always busy :(

18Feb 10 : Got reply from CPC
19Mar 10 : File opened by CHC Delhi
2nd Apr 10 : My husband received a letter from CHC for pp

We were waiting for his passport, but now because of this second letter we are totally confused.
I am scared if they haven't received his pp, where it got lost.
Applying for new passport is a headache :( :(
 
I'd keep trying to call CIC. If the 800 number is busy, pay the dime (or use SKYPE OUT at 2.4 cents per minute) and use the other number: 1 613 944 4000

Their hours are: UTC / GMT: 11:30 - 00:00, so figure out what your local-hour equivalent is, and call at the beginning or end of the day.
