Received Passport Request from Buffalo - Question Regarding the instructions

Hello friends,
I've received the passport (and RPRF) submission request today from Buffalo office today asking to submit the PPs in 90 days. I have recently got my passport renewed and the old one is cancelled now (however I do have the old passport as well). The question is that do I need to send just the new and renewed passport or am I required to send them both the old and new ones?

Please advise.

What is your time line? when did you submit your application?

hi..congrats got ur PPR.

U can send ur new passport and may be photocopies of old passport and a letter explaining the renewal.

Thanks for the reply guys.
I am planning to send someone in person to get my passports stamped (I cannot go myself because I do not have visa but as per their website instructions, we can send a representative with an authority letter).

However, I have a question and wanted to check if any of you can answer this. Do they return the passports (after stamping) on the same day for sure? They have mentioned in the PPR email that the processing of my case is "almost complete". Does this mean that there is a possibility that the stamping might not happen on the same day my representative go their in person?

If that above is the case then how will they send the Passport back?
Please reply as this is urgent.

Nope. My file was all the times at Buffalo office only. At least I did not get any file transfer notice at any time.

Hi Torontouser,

Congratulation for your PPR.

In most cases , if you or your representative visit buffalo 7:00 or before in morning you will get your passport back on the same day mostly. In very rare case, if you don't get then you have to personaly visit again to collect it as they will not send it in post if you have drop it personally.

In my case we sent our application in April 2011 to Buffalo since we were in Canada back then, later on the first reply from CIC (5 months later) they advised us our application went to Ottawa (CPP-O)...but all emails just keep coming from Buffalo still...so I don´t know where our application is...

Does anyone know when our pspts are requested I would need to send them to CPP-O, to Buffalo or I can deal with the remaining process in the Canadian Consulate in our country (including PR fee)?

In my case we sent our application in April 2011 to Buffalo since we were in Canada back then, later on the first reply from CIC (5 months later) they advised us our application went to Ottawa (CPP-O)...but all emails just keep coming from Buffalo still...so I don´t know where our application is...

Only the respective consulate will contact you to dispatch your passports when the time comes. Their communication to you will also include the address where you would need to send the requested items to.

In my case there for s a like to Buffalo consulate site, under which the Buffalo Consulate's address was there.
