I received my CAIPS notes, which is good...our interview is on November 11 in Sao Paulo. It says on August 23, they believe all is well and the relationship is bona fide reccomended to waive the interview, then on August 24 someone review it again. It says that they noted our "first contact" date (we met online) was on the same date that he originally arrived in Brazil from his home country. That is not true!! And nowhere in the paperwork I submitted does it say that. I have copies of everything we submitted and I have gone through them looking for a typo even...nothing.We started talking 2 months after he arrived there (9 months prior to meeting in person), supplied emails and proof of such, including his entry stamp to Brazil and boarding pass from when he arrived there. I was VERY thorough with the proofs we provided. We have no other proofs that we can give them, aside from what we have accumulated since our wedding in March...how worried should I be??

Don't be worried. It's obviously an error on their part. He should bring proof of your continued contact since you put in your application, as well as originals of your marriage certificate and his birth certificate (and of course his passport). Don't have him bring too much new evidence, 10 double sided pages of phone bills and chat/email logs is plenty. Have you been to visit him since you got married? If so, have him bring a few photos.

It doesn't sound like there are any other concerns about your relationship, so if he can clear up the date confusion (I am confused as to why it even matters???) then the interview should be fine. He should just answer a lot of the questions with "We...." and talk as if he is telling his love story. Make sure the emotion comes across.

Sao Paulo will issue visas on the same day if the interview goes well, so I am keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you!!!

Thanks Laura..I was thinking the same thing :) I do not know what difference it makes to them...we still chatted for 9 months before meeting in person..lol But maybe they just want to establish his movements more clearly?!
They made mistakes with us already, requesting police certificates that they already had, and were quick to acknowledge their error and fix it. (the CAIPS notes showed that they corrected them the same day I emailed them about it)
We do not have a ton of money, so with paying the immigration fees, and all the other expenses, I could not afford to travel down, but we talk for hours every day. I was just thinking of phone bills, screenshot of inbox and my updated insurance beneficiary information as I have changed jobs. Also he has our original marriage certificate and his birth certificate and passport with him - they didn't request anything but passport, but I was thinking because we had sent copies of those they may want to see them. Trying to be proactive but I really just want to scream and cry until they give me my husband ;)

You should have processed through Accra - those guys really have their shit together. :P Completely joking of course, although we were luck enough to fare alright!

Even with their errors your processing is quick - that's great! I think you'll be fine. That evidence is perfect. At my husband's interview in Accra they just glanced at the evidence he brought. They did want to see the original marriage certificate and his birth certificate. One hint though - do not let them keep it! canadianwoman's marriage certificate was taken at the interview in Accra and it has never been seen again. They say they don't know where it is. So your husband should give it to them but not let them keep it - tell them to make a copy.

I can't wait to hear the good news! Your husband will be with you for Christmas this year, how wonderful!

is it normal for two officers to go through the files?
i thought it was just one officer reviews and approves.
but is this second check normal?

Yes. Decisions must be approved.

I see, so may be by the end of October or early November then. Is it easy to read I heard they use codes and they are hard to read. Is that true?
