Hi
I had sent my application to Nova scotia and i received them back 2 days ago. They have sent the application back stating the reason that the funds have to be in canadian dollars.
they have returned the complete application along with the documents. Now to resubmit my application do i have to send the same one or should i take a new fresh application????The letter they sent states that they have not retained any records and should we choose to resubmit the application we need to include the letter and the attached appendices...(have only one Appendix) so do i need to submit the application which was returned or a new set of application?

Please help

Thanks
Sandhya

Dear Sandhya

I think you need not to submit a fresh application. Just send the documents of funds with the returned papers as they asked.

Other members may suggest.

Hi ! Sandhya,

syedrahman1980 is right you don't need to submit the fresh application, the only thing you have resubmit with Canadian funds.

thanks

Hi Sandhya,

In my case, application returned back due to insufficient fee amount. What I did was I created DD for that amount and posted back to Sydney office on the same day with all documents intact.
No need for fresh docs.

Thanks,

Hi Sandhya,
I am curious, what currency did you send your apllication in the first time? I have that problem as well. I can't get a bank draft in canadian dollars in my country.

Dear Sandya

Are you talking about the application fee to be send along with the application or about the settelment fund to be shown in the form? Please explain.

@ Jada

I had first taken certified checks from United states postal service and had asked for canadian dollars only but i think the lady at tht counter that day was not sure and i donno what she gave but she argued with us that it was in canadian dollars. Now that i have received it back am sure she had gven the check in US$.Anyways now i have applied for bank drafts through my bank (Bank of America) .its a little long process.u need to first apply for the bank draft in your branch and they will send the request to their branch in Canada. Then the canadian branch will take the required fund from ur account and send the draft to your branch in US.
Am now waiting for the drafts.the bank will charge u for this service.hope this is helpful.

Sandhya,
Even i had same problem of getting CAD draft, i was roaming places to places to get it..Bank always take 5-7 businessdays to order.
Then i went to travelex and got it right away,,
so for anyone want CAD draft/money over,
find the nearest Currency Exchange like Travelex or american express, u will get it there right away..

by the way, they charged me US$20 per money order

Thanks,

V.

did u sent your application from the US? When did u sent your application?

Proof of funds need to be shwon in Canadian dollars. It can be any currency of the country where you are residing. The person talking in this thread was talking about payment of applicaton processing fees, which must be canadian dollar.
