Hi Asivad/ Raj,

I got ITA on 10th February with 466 CRS points overall. Below are the break up of my points:

CRS – Human Capital – Age 100
CRS – Human Capital – Level of Education 119

CRS – Human Capital – First Official Language 119
Proficiency
CRS – Human Capital – Second Official Language 0
Proficiency
CRS – Human Capital – Canadian Work Experience 0
CRS – Spouse – Level of Education 8
CRS – Spouse – First Official Language Proficiency 20
CRS – Spouse – Canadian Work Experience 0
CRS – Skill Transferability – Education 50
CRS – Skill Transferability – Foreign Work Experience 50
CRS – Skill Transferability – Certificate of Qualification 0
CRS – Arranged Employment 0
CRS – Provincial/Territorial Nomination 0
Your overall points score 466

As discussed with you personally also, it seems that I have filled my EE application incorrectly for my wife's (Primary Applicant) ECA report and have got ITA. Below is the ECA report of my wife (Primary Applicant):

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY: Bachelor's degree (three years) and bachelor's degree (four years)
1. Master of Arts (2 years): BACHELORS(4 years) (Canadian Equivalency)
2. Bachelor of Arts (3 years): BACHELORS(3 years) (Canadian Equivalency)

1. Below was the information that I entered in my EE application for my Bachelors Degree:
Level of Education - Bachelors degree
Then in the lower section;
Level of education (Canadian equivalent) shown on Education Credential Assessment (ECA) report- Bachelor’s degree

2. Below was the information that I entered in my EE application for my Master'e degree:
Level of Education - Masters Degree
Then in the lower section;
Level of education (Canadian equivalent) shown on Education Credential Assessment (ECA) report - Two or More Degrees

I have been told that I have filled the data for my masters degree incorrectly and all are now suggesting me that I should have filled the data of my masters as below:
Level of Education - Two or more degree
Then in the lower section;
Level of education (Canadian equivalent) shown on Education Credential Assessment (ECA) report - Bachelors Degree

So I understand that I have filled incorrectly but I have availed only 119 points (which is for "Two or More Degrees") for Education as is shown by my break of CRS score in received ITA

I am receiving contradictory reviews like to ignore this issue or to decline this ITA & wait for next ITA.
I am very confused that on what basis I should make this decision?
It will be very difficult to wait for rejection for next 6 months assuming I have filled incorrectly. Also, if I reject it, there is no 100% surity about the ITA again.
I am suppose to submit my post-ITA application by 9th April :-(

Asivad/ Raj,
I humbly request you to please help me to know that why/why not it should/shouldnt be ignored please.

Please guide me.
Thanks in advance

Yes, At the highlighted part above you should have chosen 'BACHELORS(4 years)' instead of the option 'Two or more degree/diploma...' as mentioned in your ECA report.

I am sure you should be able to correct it, as experienced people (who have filled the e-APR form themselves) may suggest you how to, since it won't alter your overall CRS Score as you do qualify for 'Two or more...' option (Overall) as per your ECA Report.

As the system has allotted you just 119 points corresponding to '2 or more...', you're safe. Nothing to change and nothing to worry about here. Submit your application at the earliest.

All the best!

Hello VIP Member,

Hi Asivad
Thanks a ton for your kind reply.
Just for better understanding about what I submitted earlier for my masters:

I searched a bit & realized that Amitsolanki14 was also rejected due to wrong selection of education in EE application as he chose Masters but was expected to chose "2 or more degree".
CIC while rejecting his application, sent below explanation:
I have now completed the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa as a skilled worker. I have determined that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.

In your Express Entry profile you indicated that you held a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree. The ECA you have provided confirms your educational equivalency as 2 Bachelor’s degrees.
In accordance with section 11.2 of the Act of the Regulations, I am refusing your application because I have found that you do not meet the criteria set out in an instruction given under paragraph 10.3(1)(e). This change in your qualifications resulted in a loss of points that brought your rank below the lowest ranking person who was invited to apply in your round, under the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System.
Subsection 11(1) of the Act states that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or for any other document required by the regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act. Subsection 2(2) specifies that unless otherwise indicated, references in the Act to “this Act” include regulations made under it."

I hope my case is different from AmitSolanki14.

Asivad,
I have got admit for MASc (Fall'2016) in Windsor University & for MEng (Jan'17) in Waterloo University. My wife has got admit for PhD (Jan'17) in Queens University. I am banking on this PR as its difficult for me to get student VISA. In case I got rejected then I may have to loose all study admits as well :( . I need to get process completed before Jan'17. Thus, want to take informed decision. I hope you understand as I am troubling you again and again on same issue.
I have collected all documents for this eAPR but want to take another GREEN FLAG from you before proceeding further.
Thanks in advance

Hi Asivad,
I had a talk with Amitsolanki14 who got rejected after 5 months of AOR due to wrong selection of this "2 or more degree" as he mistakenly claimed Masters.. => http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/aor-in-august-2015-t332574.0.html;msg4885925#msg4885925

He re-submitted the EE application and got ITA again in january'16......and this time he filled the data as I have filled (Above: Masters, Below: "2 or more Bachelors degrees") in consultation with his Immigration Consultation .........
I am yet to fill eAPR...........confused in filling the data...

Your case is different - the system allots you points for '2 or more..' not 'Masters degree'. Good to go.

All the best!

Hi Asivad,
Thanks for your reply.
One last question please. Earlier I filled the details of my Masters degree as below and got ITA on 10th February:
Level of Education: Masters (In the upper section)
Level of Education (Canadian Equivalency): "two or more degrees" (in the lower section)

You can observe the same as below:
https://picasaweb.google.com/100557871957224180966/March272016#6266593025635583234

https://picasaweb.google.com/100557871957224180966/March272016#6266593049684993570

https://picasaweb.google.com/100557871957224180966/March272016#6266593149474016210

https://picasaweb.google.com/100557871957224180966/March272016#6266593184703452738

With this I claimed 119 points (which is correct), however, you indicated that it should not have been filled this way.

So now post-ITA, in eAPR:
1. Should I fill the details of my masters as filled earlier (i.e. Level of Education: Masters, Level of Education (Canadian Equivalency): "Two or More degrees")
or
2. If above is incorrect then how should I fill the details of my masters now post-ITA? And should I also write Letter of Explanation for this change of data?

Please answer.

Please answer.

At that point in time, I wasn't aware of your CRS breakdown so my answer 'presumed' that you were awarded points for Masters which wasn't the case (as I got to know later). So that answer doesn't hold good anymore.

You don't have to edit anything further here or submit an LoE. Just focus on submitting a complete application.

All the best!

Asivad,
I understand your point.
But I have yet not submitted my eAPR (last date is 9th April).
So my question is that should I fill again the data for my Masters in eAPR as filler earlier (before getting ITA) and submit my application post-ITA, ie.
Level of Education (in the Upper Section): Masters
Level of Education (in the Lower Section) (Canadian Equivalence): "Two or more Bachelor Degrees"

No.
What he studied at his university was for a Masters program and was awarded a degree for it. Hence the selection of the option called 'Masters.

But what Canadian system considers is not masters (may be a little less than their standards), but don't want to ignore it completely too, so have this option of 'Two or more degree...' but not Canadian Masters.

Hope that clears it.

My bad. Is it supposed to be like that?

Level of Education (in the Upper Section): "Two or more Bachelor Degrees"
Level of Education (in the Lower Section) (Canadian Equivalence): "ECA Assessed degree (IN his case, i believe its Bachelors degree)"
