Received Canadian Visa should I apply for dependent visa before getting PR card

I have recently received my passport with Canadian Immigration visa which was applied on family basis and passport was sent for issuance of visa before my marriage.

My husband resides in UK on immigration visa; I therefore would like to know whether I should apply for UK dependent (Migrant) visa before my first entry at Canadian port as within Canadian Immigration document my marital status is single.

Please provide your opinion on the matter above and what could be the issues if UK dependent visa is applied before making first entry at Canadian port.

I understand that PR card is applied after arrival and on that should I mention my marital status or after receiving PR Card.

Answers to the following will help with a response:

1. Who sponsored you to Canada? Is it your parents?

2. When was this sponsorship submitted (month/year)?

3. When did you get married (month/year)?

4. When did you send your passport sent to the Canadian visa post (month/year)?

5. When did you receive your passport with PR visa back (month/year)?

You can't land in Canada and become a PR using the visa you have now. If you do, you will be committing misrepresentation by landing as single when you are actually married. If you land on the visa you have now, you will never be able to sponsor your husband and your own PR status could be canceled due to misrepresentation (saying you are single when you are actually married).

You must return the visa you have now back to the visa office and inform them that you have married. You should then complete the paperwork to add your spouse to the application and submit this documentation to the visa office.

My impression is that the OP was included as a dependent in a parental sponsorship application i.e. Canadian PR/ Citizen sponsored their parents and the OP included/listed as a dependent by the parents.

The OP should have been removed from the application when she got married which it appears happened post PR visa issuance. Said visa is no longer valid and raises the misrepresentation you highlight. The OP would have to immigrate to Canada in some other way and include the husband as a dependent...on paper she is best to join her husband in the UK.
