Rec ITA Filling Family Information what to write in Given name If no last name

I have Received ITA at 259 and was filing the form.In Family information when filling parents details....My father has his name in Given name and having no last name .As suggested by CIC I have filled the name in last name and left blank the Given name column but It is not accepting

Given name denotes your actual name hence that cannot be left blank. Last name is generally is the family name or some call it surname.

Also please ensure the names that you enter match with the other documents that you submit.

I my fathers Passport he only have Given Name

Hi,

I am in the same situation, my father's name contains given name only in all my as well as his identity documents.
As per cic's instructions:
"If you do not have a family name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank. Do not enter “Not applicable,” “*” or “NA.”"

I tried the same, entering first name in the last name field and leaving first name blank but the system does not allows to do so and throws validation error if first name field is left empty.
Did you find any work around for this?
If yes, please let me know what is the solution for this issue.

Please if anyone can help and suggest what can be done in this case?
