hello,

I was rejected for visitor visa yesterday and I’d like to make sure what changes I need to make before reapplying.

The rejection letter says:
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada ... paragraph 179(b)... based on:
1. Purpose of travel: which I provided invitation letter from a Canadian citizen.

Is it going to be solved if I provided a ticket departing Canada to any country?

2. Personal assets and financial status: I provided 4 months bank statement showing that I have $2500-$4000 a month.

Is it going to be solved if I deposit $5000 and provide a balance letter fro the bank along with the statements provided already?

Notes:
- I wasn’t given a chance to provide additional documents. Is that normal?

- I am not applying from my home country. I figured I apply from Panama since I am on a vacation and my home country is way too far to go there just to apply. I didn’t explain that in the application. Could that be a hidden reason? Or I should go only with the reasons they provided?

- I lived in Canada with a study permit since 2013-2019. My bank statements are from a Canadian bank.

- Is there a way to help getting multiple entries visa?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

> What purpose did you mention last time?
You don't need an actually ticket in applying for a TRV. Itinerary from Expedia or from you chosen airline would be enough.
You already stayed in Canada from 2013-2019 why are you eager to go back? This might be the reason why the visa officer questioned your purpose.

2. Personal assets and financial status: I provided 4 months bank statement showing that I have $2500-$4000 a month.
Is it going to be solved if I deposit $5000 and provide a balance letter fro the bank along with the statements provided already?
> You need to convince the visa officer that you have ties—such as a job, home, financial assets or family—that will take you back to your home country. You must have more than enough savings on your bank to establish that you can afford to travel. The amount should not just be the funds to carry out your stated purpose in going to Canada but more than that.
> Do you have work cause you said you just studied from 2013-2019?

Notes:
- I wasn’t given a chance to provide additional documents. Is that normal?
> How did you come up with this statement? Did you apply online or on paper? As for online, the documents you need to present are stated on the checklist. It is suggested that you provide as much documents as you can. There is also a Letter of Explanation (like a cover letter), you can attach on that area documents that you think can support your application.

- I am not applying from my home country. I figured I apply from Panama since I am on a vacation and my home country is way too far to go there just to apply. I didn’t explain that in the application. Could that be a hidden reason? Or I should go only with the reasons they provided?
> You can apply for a TRV on a different country as long as
1) The country you applied from is your current country of residence. You have proper permits like a residence visa or work visa to justify why you are applying from that country.
2) No IRCC on your home country.
Other than that, it would be really questionable. You are not from Panama and just on vacation so why apply from there? [/QUOTE]

- I lived in Canada with a study permit since 2013-2019. My bank statements are from a Canadian bank.
> There is no issue regarding where your bank is. What matters is the money in the bank.
The red flag I see is you already stayed in Canada from 2013-2019 why are you eager to go back? The visa officer will really question your purpose.

- Is there a way to help getting multiple entries visa?
Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
> As long as you can prove you have ties on your home country and no intentions to stay in Canada the visa officers can grant you a multiple entry visa.

Your intentions to go to Canada is really questionable? Why go back ASAP and apply not from your home county?

Before you apply again, address the reasons for your refusal. Build up on your assets. Take time and establish yourself in your home country to prove your ties.

1. The purpose was given was only an invitation letter
2. I am eager to go back because I have a chance of getting a job offer
3. If I provide a letter of good standing showing $3000 in my bank statement is it enough?
4. I have a mother and siblings in my home country. Do i have to prove that? How?
5. I am applying from panama because I don’t want to waste too much money on tickets to go home, I have to go home after about 10 days from going to Canada and getting the job offer. Return tickets will cost me about $3500. The job offer isn’t guaranteed but I know I can get it if I go and try with the business owner. Also, I want to go for an exam, attend a course..etc

Some of the reasons you’ve mentioned like me being in Canada before and applying from Panama while in a vacation they didn’t mention they have a problem with that. So if I solve the problems they mentioned wouldn’t the application be accepted? I mean they give you the reasons with the chance to reapply, why won’t they give you the visa if you address the issue they’ve mentioned? I think that wouldn’t something they would do.

Any ideas in to make my application look better would be highly appreciated.

> Your purpose of visit? Tourism or Visit Family/Friends? Your friend cannot just say that he is in inviting you for a job interview. Work permit is done through a proper channel. Again you cannot justify Tourism or Visit Family/Friends because you just stayed there from 2013-2019. It is evident that you plan to stay in Canada.
2. I am eager to go back because I have a chance of getting a job offer
You cannot do this when you are on a Visitor Visa
3. If I provide a letter of good standing showing $3000 in my bank statement is it enough?
No. This is very low.
4. I have a mother and siblings in my home country. Do i have to prove that? How?
You indicate this on form Imm5645e.

It is fishy why you apply from Panama. I already stated my reasons on my previous post.

Again if you address the issues they might grant you a visa. As suggested build up on your assets. The 3K money on your bank is not enough.
Do not apply for a visa right away. Take time and establish yourself in your home country to prove your ties.

I was able to get a balance from my two accounts one in canada for $6000 USD and one from my home country of $2000 USD

Also, I’ve applied for a job and i am accepted and I am able to start working anytime. And i am waiting for the letter from the company i am accepted at also back home. Do those help despite the fact that i am not home and I wasn’t for the last few years?
