First post here, i read alot of the post on the board and i think you guys are very helpful....

here is the situation...

my girlfriend is canadian and currently lives in canada... i live in barbados... i visit her all he time but its reached a point now where she wants me with her... i spoke to a few people and they told me i could look around for jobs up there and apply for a work permit.... now we dont know how long that would take... ive asked her to marry me and she said yes... (this is why she wants me to be up there with her)..

so i want to know... should i marry her and move up there to her? or should i weigh options annd try to get a work permit...

i have a good job in barbados already and my boss told me if i moved since my job is web based i would still be able to work from over there..

what is the the best option to take?

If you marry , have her sponsor you, much simpler, finding a job and getting an LMO are not the easiest thing in this economy.

PMM

so it would be ok for us to marry... and i move up there with her... apply outland.. since that seem quicker?...

since i already have a job here and i could do it online i wont have to worry abut funds or anyhing like thhat.. and i could always extend my visitors visa correct?

I read somewhere that web based jobs are easier to obtain work visas for than others.

My question is to all of you. Are marriages made outside of Canada accepted by Immigrations. Such as a wedding in Las Vegas or Mexico?
