According to the new checklist (effective June 26, 2010), that along with the bank certificates, the applicant can also present real estate and vehicles as proof of funds and that a certification and valuation of these should be given as proof their value.

Say the amount required is $16K+, can the value of real estate and vehicles make up for the 16K? Or the transferable funds should be really 16K?

About JOINT ACCOUNTS WITH PARENTS

I have a joint account with both of my parents so that makes us three. Will 1/3 of the account be credited and can be part of the required 16K?

I hope someone can shed light on these matters. Thank you
