Ready to apply for spouse sponsorship caught by RCMP for Drinking and Driving

Hello Everyone,
I am in the process of applying for my wife immigration but sadely got caught by RCMP for Impaired Driving BAC Level >0.16 no body damage no other charges .They asked me to attend the court in January. Will it effect my sponsorship ability to apply for my wife?
Discussions any solutions from anyone who bin in this situation before??

Since you're the sponsor (rather than applicant) there's no impact to the process.

Sorry that was more than .80 and they charged me with section 2531 a and b which comes under criminal code.
