Hello
I submitted my partner’s PR application as outside of Canada application as he lives in USA. We received an email to submit passport to get visa however, he is travelling to India shortly so unable to submit passport as we might not get it back in time. We contacted 1-888-242-2100 almost everyday can not get to the agent, filled out web form three times but no reply. Has anyone experienced this? What should I do? Is it ok to submit passport once he comes back from India?

Generally they give one month to submit the Passport. IF you cant submit in that period you need to inform IRCC through web form and ask for extension.

We did inform them through web form but they are not replying to it so we are not sure if we are allowed that extension, we submitted we form three times already

yes that's the problem. they hardly reply. If the delay is by few days then I don't think it should matter. Now a days it takes approx. one month form the time you submit your passport to getting it back. If the India trip is not absolutely essential I will not advice to delay the process of passport submission. I was also wondering if he can submit his passport in VFS India? Not sure if that is allowed as he is a resident of US.
