I was born in a British Crown Colony and immigrated to Canada with my parents as a dependent child in 1967. I resided there for a couple years before my Dad was recruited by a multi National oil company (overseas) and was sent to several Caribbean Islands on various assignments for several years. During this time I moved from Country to Country with my family and I returned to Canada (without my parents) as a student where I lived with my Canadian Aunt, Uncle and three cousins until I graduated High School in 1982. I have a post graduate Diploma in General Management and spent much of my working career doing the same thing as my Dad working for a various Multi Nationals throughout the Caribbean. Much of my formative years were spent in Canada and I would like to return to live and set up an export Company. I am wondering as an adult do I have to reapply all over again or can I apply to reactivate my landed immigrant/Permanent Residence status and return to Canada? I have all my papers and exact dates to prove my original immigrant status and graduation certificates plus my Dad's Canadian Social Security Card etc. Can you advise me how I should proceed?
