Hello,
I am Canadian and will be sponsoring my husband. He's from U.S. and will be applying through the visa office in Buffalo. We are currently living in the states. Our case is relative straight forward. We have dated for a long time since 1999, got married in 2003, have a daughter in 2007 whom she received her Canadian citizenship recently. We don't have any previous marriage. We are organizing all the supporting documents and we have a few questions.
In the sponsor questionnaire FORM 5540 and in the sponsored spouse questionnaire Form 5490, both asks for additional details or your current relationship that you believe will help to prove your relationship as genuine and continuing. My question is : Do I have to provide these supporting documents twice since there are two offices that our application will be going to, (i.e. mississauga and buffalo), or one set will be sufficient? If one set is sufficient, which part should I include it with? (My guess would be the sponsored spouse questionnaire and should I write a note in the spouse part of the application indicating that it is the sponsored spouse part of the questionnaire?) If I have to include two sets of supporting documents, does that goes for the same thing for the photocopies of my Canadian citizenship card too? (and perhaps other things that I have already forgotten that both sets of forms asked for)?
I have read that a lot of people used tabs and folders to organize it, but since my organizational skill is really not my strength, I would like to know in general, if anyone can give advice to the presentation and ORDER of the forms, supporting documents, medical records, police certificate, marriage certificate, birth certificates, and canadian citizenship, photos etc. etc... I would really appreciate it.
Thank you so much.
